About Read Write CultureThe term Read Write Music is inspired by our contemporary culture in which we are rarelly aware of copyright laws that surround us and yet so many new music genres are being created using samples of older copyrighted material. By the nature of illegallity fresh sound rarely came from music industry but always found it's way from the streets of big cities. Let's be honest-there are not that many music producers who understand copyright and there are endless possibilities of new creation we deny if we take away what's ours. Our culture will always belong to us and never to a law.
Creative Commons is not a trend, it's a statement.
Before I decided to become a dedicated Creative Commons artist I have finished my 120 pages long research paper on artist's earnings and copyright and found out what a big lie the protection of copyright law is. Feel free to download my research paper here.
And you can watch Lawrence Lessig (one of the founders of Creative Commons) talking about Read Write Culture here.
